This page explains how to have every trace of your use of
Morning Song (com.morningsong.app) deleted, both on
your phone and on our server.
The fastest way: in the app
Open Settings and tap Delete all my data, then confirm.
This happens immediately and cannot be undone:
- every song, alarm, style profile and setting on the phone is erased;
- the anonymous installation identifier is forgotten by the app;
- the app instructs our server to delete the record held against that identifier — the balance row and any purchase tokens attached to it.
If the app cannot reach the server at that moment it tells you so plainly, rather than pretending the deletion happened. Repeat it while online, or use the request form below.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Send an email to frozenheime@gmail.com with the subject "Morning Song data deletion request".
We will need your installation identifier, because it is the only thing that links you to any record. There is no account, no email address and no phone number on file — we genuinely cannot look you up by name. Before uninstalling you can find the identifier in Settings → Privacy.
If you no longer have it, tell us and we will confirm what we can. In practice a record with no identifier is already anonymous: it holds a random UUID, a number of credits, and nothing that identifies a person.
We answer deletion requests within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
What gets deleted
- On your phone: songs and their lyrics, alarms, style profiles, settings, the notes you wrote, and the installation identifier.
- On our server: the entire record — installation identifier, credit balance, trial usage, subscription state and the purchase tokens linked to it.
What we cannot delete
- Your purchase history at Google. Google Play is the seller of record for every payment. Its receipts are held by Google under its own policy, and we have no ability to remove them. See Google Play order history.
- Unspent credits are lost, not transferred. Deletion is permanent and there is no account to move a balance to. If you want to keep what you paid for, spend it before deleting.
- Aggregated analytics. Counts that can no longer be traced to any installation — for example "how many alarms rang last week" — remain in aggregate form.
Deleting the subscription is a separate step
Deleting your data does not cancel a Morning Song Plus subscription — that lives in your Google account, not ours. Cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions, or you will keep being charged.
Everything above is described in more detail in the Privacy Policy.
